Join us to the bilingual forum with Raleigh Mayor candidates

Raleigh Mayor Forum

Enlace Latino NC and El Centro Hispano invite the community to participate in their second non-partisan and bilingual forum with Raleigh Mayor candidates, incumbent mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin, Dr. Terrance Ruth, and DaQuanta Copeland.

This forum will take place on September 21 from 6:00 p.m to 7:30 p.m at El Centro Hispano in Raleigh, and it’s a great opportunity for Latino community members to learn about the candidates on the ballot and their stances on key issues that affect them and their families. The event will have Spanish interpretation available for those interested and will provide the space for community members to submit questions.

“Knowing the proposals of the candidates is essential to make informed decisions,” said Paola Jaramillo, co-founder and executive editor of Enlace Latino NC. “With this, our second forum for candidates, we seek to bring the candidates and their proposals closer to the Latino communities so that they feel more comfortable having information in Spanish,” explained Jaramillo.

“Latino voters are a powerful force in North Carolina,” said Pilar Rocha-Goldberg, executive director and president of El Centro Hispano NC. “Our candidate forums aim to help them to be informed and knowledgeable about the issues and positions of candidates when voting. This November 8 is our time to make our voices heard.”

Jointly organized by Enlace Latino NC, El Centro Hispano NC and with the support of Beloved Community Center, Women’s Well, and Mia 94.3 F.M, this forum will take place in person and will be broadcasted on El Centro Hispano Facebook page and Enlace Latino Facebook page.
