El Centro Hispano Reaffirms Partnership with Cumberland County Schools
El Centro Hispano was honored to participate in the Swearing-In Ceremony and Reception for Dr. Eric C. Bracy, the new superintendent of Cumberland County Schools. It was an inspiring occasion that marked the beginning of a new chapter for one of the largest school districts in North Carolina.
Cumberland County Schools serves more than 80 schools and thousands of students across diverse communities. For many families, especially bilingual and multicultural households, schools are not just centers of learning—they are also spaces where culture, language, and identity are recognized and valued. Dr. Bracy’s leadership represents an important opportunity to strengthen connections between the district and the families it serves.
At El Centro Hispano, our mission is to empower Latino and immigrant communities through advocacy, education, and community engagement. Reaffirming our partnership with Cumberland County Schools means working hand-in-hand to expand access to resources that promote academic success, family engagement, and cultural inclusion. Whether it is through bilingual programs, parent workshops, or support for educators, our collaboration ensures that families feel seen, heard, and supported.
We believe that strong schools build strong communities. By joining forces with Cumberland County Schools, we are committed to ensuring that students not only excel academically, but also grow with pride in their heritage and confidence in their future. Together, we can create environments where every child thrives, every parent feels empowered, and every educator has the tools to build bridges across cultures.
As we celebrate this new leadership, we look forward to the many ways our partnership will continue to uplift and inspire the families of Cumberland County. The work ahead is full of promise, and we are ready to walk this journey together.
