Youth Leaders in Action Shine at the UnidosUS Changemakers Summit in Washington, D.C.
Every year, we have the privilege of witnessing our Youth Leaders in Action represent our community at the UnidosUS Changemakers Summit in Washington, D.C. This year, they once again stepped up as ambassadors of change, eager to learn about the key issues affecting our community, including economic mobility, education, and policy.
The summit provided an incredible platform for our youth leaders to gain insight into the policies that shape our nation and explore their own roles as leaders within the Latine community. With a focus on community engagement, our youth leaders not only absorbed valuable knowledge but also connected with other passionate advocates from across the country.
One of the most impactful aspects of the summit was the opportunity to meet directly with lawmakers who represent us. Our delegation had the honor of engaging with Congressman Brad Knott (Wake) through his legal representative and Congresswoman Valerie Foushee (Durham), giving our youth leaders the chance to ask important questions and discuss the pressing issues they care about most.
We couldn’t be prouder of our young leaders for taking this opportunity to learn, grow, and amplify their voices in the halls of power. Their dedication to understanding and advocating for our community is a testament to the bright future ahead for the Latine community.
These future leaders are not just learning—they’re leading. And we’re excited to continue supporting them as they pave the way for positive change.
