A Year of Commitment, Learning, and Diabetes Prevention

With great joy, we celebrate the completion of one year of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, alongside 15 dedicated participants from St. Rafael Church in Raleigh who demonstrated tremendous consistency, commitment, and determination to taking care of their health.

Throughout the past year, participants came together to learn, share experiences, overcome challenges, and celebrate achievements. The program provided an opportunity to talk about healthy eating, physical activity, stress management, and the importance of making sustainable lifestyle changes.

Most importantly, participants learned that small, healthy decisions made consistently over time can make a meaningful difference in preventing or delaying type 2 diabetes.

Today, we are celebrating much more than the completion of a program. We are celebrating the perseverance, commitment, and positive changes each participant made along the way. Completing a year-long program requires consistency, discipline, and a willingness to learn, grow, and adopt healthier habits—and our participants demonstrated all three.

We are grateful to St. Rafael Church for opening its doors and helping us bring health education, diabetes prevention, and practical tools for healthier living directly to the Raleigh community.

To each of our 15 participants: Congratulations on this incredible achievement! Your commitment to your health is an inspiration, and we are proud to have shared this journey with you.

Here’s to continuing the healthy habits, celebrating progress, and building a healthier community together!
