Standing Together for Colombia

When disaster strikes, community has the power to bring hope, comfort, and support when families need it most. We are deeply grateful to everyone who came together to lend a helping hand and support families affected by the devastating earthquake in Colombia.

In Fayetteville, our community once again demonstrated the incredible impact of coming together. We extend a special thank you to @Compare Foods for opening its doors as a donation collection center and for making generous contributions to support families in Colombia. Your partnership helped make it possible for neighbors, families, and community members to turn compassion into action.

In collaboration with Servientrega and the Colombian Red Cross, we collected and shipped 108 boxes of essential donations to communities affected by the earthquake. These donations included:

  • Hygiene and cleaning supplies
  • Emergency kits
  • Canned and nonperishable food
  • Diapers for children and adults
  • Pet food
  • And many other essential items

Every box represented more than supplies—it represented solidarity, compassion, and a message to families in Colombia that they are not alone.

We are especially thankful to the individuals and families who donated, the volunteers who helped collect and organize supplies, and the organizations and businesses that opened their doors and contributed resources. Each contribution, large or small, helped make this collective effort possible.

This outpouring of solidarity reflects the same spirit our community demonstrated when we came together to support families affected by the crisis in Venezuela. Time and again, our communities have shown that when we stand together, we can make a meaningful difference.

To everyone who donated, volunteered, partnered with us, or helped spread the word: thank you. Your generosity reminds us of the strength that comes from community and the importance of extending a helping hand to others in times of need.

We will continue to come together, support one another, and stand with communities facing difficult times.
