El Centro Hispano, in collaboration with our presenting sponsors ViiV HealthCare and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Community Health Worker Forum: Community Health Workers Addressing Prevention and Health Equity.
This forum is open to all community health workers, employers of community health workers, outreach workers, and others interested in learning more about Prevention and Inclusion for healthier communities.

Community health workers are at the forefront of addressing health disparities and promoting wellness. This forum will provide valuable insights and tools to enhance their efforts in creating inclusive and healthier communities. Here are some of our event highlights:

- Four (4) Continued Education Hours credited toward hours required by the NC Association of Community Health Workers
- Certificate of attendance for all participants
- Workshops available in English and Spanish, with interpretation available for plenary sessions and some workshops
- Topics include best practices and the role of Community Health Workers in the coordination of care, health promotion, mental health wellness, Medicaid enrollment, self-care, and more
- Keynote speaker, workshops, and networking opportunities
This impactful event will take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at The Friday Conference Center, located at 100 Friday Center Dr, Chapel Hill, NC 27599.
