What is Spanish 1?

This is an introductory Spanish class for students who either have had limited exposure in Spanish or would like to review Spanish in the introductory level.

This eight-week class is open to native and non-native Spanish speakers. Our fun and interactive classes will keep you motivated to use Spanish at the end of a long day at work. Furthermore, our classes will help you gain an edge when working primarily-Spanish speaking community members while seeking to improve Spanish language abilities.

El Centro Hispano designed this class to teach grammatical structures in a culturally-rich, fun, and engaging environment. Not only will you hone your Spanish language abilities as you receive personalized help, but will also acquire cultural knowledge about Latinx people in the United States.

Each class explores cultural knowledge about primarily Latinx populations so if your audience is to work with Latinx people this course is for you! We pack each class with real-life practical Spanish lessons that you will use in various planned scenarios.

Classes will show cultural perspectives about Latinx people
to bridge understanding and create awareness about Latinx people’s needs and preferences when you communicate with this community.
