El Centro Hispano NC and Compare Foods Join Forces to Celebrate Latino Culture at Compare Fest Fiesta Latina in Spring Lake
SPRING LAKE, N.C. — On Saturday, September 12, El Centro Hispano will join Compare Foods for the family-friendly Compare Fest Fiesta Latina & Customer Appreciation, a celebration dedicated to the culture, music, and traditions of the Latino community.
The free and open-to-the-public event invites families from Spring Lake, Fayetteville, and surrounding communities to enjoy a day filled with live music, cultural performances, food, arts and crafts, family-friendly activities, and community resources.
The celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Compare Foods in Spring Lake, located at 1159 N. Bragg Blvd.
The musical lineup will feature Dueto Los Armadillos, Estefy Gallardo, Grupo La Xpresión, Julio y Rafa, Abakua Latin Music, and DJ Armando. Attendees will also enjoy a special performance by Takiri Folclor Latino, bringing traditional Latin American dances to the stage.
As a community partner, El Centro Hispano will be present with its Mobile Health Unit, while also sharing information about programs, services, and resources available to families in the community.
“We invite all families to come, bring their friends, and enjoy a day celebrating our roots and our community. We have prepared this event with a lot of love for everyone, and best of all, it is completely free,” said Manny Olivares, General Manager of Compare Foods.
In addition to music and cultural performances, attendees will have the opportunity to meet and support local entrepreneurs offering food, handmade crafts, and other products. There will also be family-friendly activities, and various community organizations will be on-site to share information about services and resources available to the community.

Compare Fest Fiesta Latina & Customer Appreciation aims to create a gathering space for families throughout the region, celebrate cultural diversity, and strengthen connections among local businesses, organizations, and the Latino community in the area.
