Bringing Services Directly to Our Community: El Centro Hispano Mobile
At El Centro Hispano, we believe that access to resources and opportunities should not depend on how far someone has to travel to find them. El Centro Hispano Mobile was created to bring our services directly to the people and communities that need them, meeting families where they are and making it easier to access support, information, and opportunities.
Today, El Centro Hispano Mobile visited Renacer Church in Angier, bringing a variety of resources and services directly to community members. It was an opportunity to connect with families, answer questions, share information, and provide resources that can support their health, education, and well-being.
During our visit, community members had access to:
- 🎒 Education and youth resources: Information about our education programs and activities for children, along with backpack giveaways to help students prepare for the school year.
- 🏳️🌈 LGBTQ+ community resources: Information about programs that provide support to the LGBTQ+ community, as well as Duke PREP.
- ❤️🩹 Hands-only CPR demonstrations: Community members learned simple, lifesaving skills and how to respond in an emergency.
- 🩺 Preventive health services: Blood pressure and diabetes screenings, flu vaccines, and information about affordable health care resources.
- 🥫 Food assistance: Food pantry giveaways to help provide additional support to local families.
Every visit from El Centro Hispano Mobile is an opportunity to connect our community with resources, build relationships, and make sure families know that support is available to them.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, participated, asked questions, and connected with our team at Renacer Church. We look forward to continuing to bring El Centro Hispano’s services and opportunities directly to communities across North Carolina.
