Empowering Families with Padres Comprometidos!

Forty-eight Parents graduated from the Committed Parents program. With the support of  Unidos US, we empowered these parents to navigate the North Carolina school system to advocate for their children.

Parents learned what their rights are for themselves and their children and how they, as parents, can improve their children’s experience during the course of their education in the school system. At this celebration, parents were able to meet and hear emotional words from Dr. MariaRosa Rangel, Director of Family and Community Engagement Office of Equity Affairs Wake County Public School System.

Also the parents’ children who were graduating received a musical instrument class given by our partner Kidznotes.

We are very proud of what we were able to accomplish as a team!
