How to Help NC families affected for Hurricane Helene

At El Centro Hispano, we express our deepest solidarity and love to our fellow North Carolinians who have been impacted by Hurricane Helene. Many of these families are not only our friends but also our partners in advancing the wellbeing of Latino families across the state. Our hearts break for the loss and devastation caused by this disaster.

Since the hurricaneā€™s aftermath, we have been working tirelessly with local partners to organize relief efforts, collect donations, and distribute necessary supplies to affected communities. Our CEO and President have been in contact with leaders on the ground from the very first hours, coordinating ways to provide immediate assistance.

Hereā€™s how you can help:

  1. Donate Essential Supplies ā€“ We are in urgent need of non-perishable food, bottled water, baby items (diapers, wipes, formula), blankets, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. These items can be dropped off at our Raleigh office (421 Chapanoke Rd Suite 156 Raleigh) from 9am – 4pm until Friday 4. We will be collecting supplies on October 6th from 11am – 4pm.
  2. Make a Financial Contribution ā€“ Every donation counts. You can contribute directly to our Hurricane Relief Fund through our website, which will go toward providing emergency aid and long-term recovery efforts. Donate here.
  3. Spread the Word ā€“ Share our posts on social media and help us reach as many people as possible. The more awareness we raise, the more support we can offer to families in need.

All donations will go to ComitƩ por la Justicia Social de Asheville. Your support is crucial in helping our communities rebuild. Together, we can bring hope and relief to those affected by Hurricane Helene.

Thank you for your generosity and compassion.
