Building Stronger Communities Through Collaboration and Leadership
Building stronger communities begins with bringing people together—and that’s exactly what happened at Perspectives: Strength in Every Stitch, a powerful gathering organized by the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and Tapestry. The event created a meaningful space for leaders, advocates, and changemakers to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore collaborative solutions that will shape the future of our region.
El Centro Hispano was honored to participate in this inspiring event, reaffirming our commitment to creating opportunities that strengthen families and foster economic mobility across North Carolina. We believe that when organizations, businesses, and community leaders work together, we can create lasting change that benefits everyone.
As a member of the organizing committee, our President and CEO, Pilar Rocha-Goldberg, proudly introduced speakers for two impactful sessions that highlighted critical priorities for our region.
The first session, “Care at the Core: Knots of Opportunity in Childcare and Economic Growth,” explored the vital connection between access to quality childcare and a thriving economy. Childcare is more than a family issue—it is an economic necessity that allows parents to participate in the workforce while ensuring children have the opportunity to learn and grow.
The second session, “Wake Tech: Weaving the Most Powerful Workforce Engine in the Triangle,” focused on developing a skilled workforce that meets the needs of today’s economy while creating pathways to success for future generations. Investing in education, workforce development, and career opportunities strengthens both individuals and the communities they call home.
These conversations reinforced an important truth: the well-being of families, access to opportunity, workforce development, and economic prosperity are deeply interconnected. When we invest in people, we invest in the future of our entire region.
We are proud to contribute our voice to conversations like these and to continue building partnerships that strengthen the Triangle. Together, we are weaving a more inclusive, resilient, and prosperous future, one where every individual, every family, and every community has the opportunity to thrive.
