CPR Training at El Centro Hispano: Learn a Lifesaving Skill!
We had another successful CPR training at El Centro Hispano’s offices in Durham! Participants had the opportunity to learn essential lifesaving techniques, ensuring they are prepared to act in an emergency.
Did you know? CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) can double or even triple a person’s chance of survival if performed immediately after cardiac arrest. That’s why knowing this skill is so important!
Why is CPR So Important?

Every year, thousands of people experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital setting. When this happens, the chances of survival decrease significantly with each passing minute. Performing CPR immediately can double or even triple a person’s survival rate by keeping oxygen flowing to the brain and other vital organs until medical help arrives.
2. Most Cardiac Arrests Happen at Home
Did you know that more than 70% of cardiac arrests happen at home? That means the person who might need CPR could be a family member, a friend, or a loved one. By learning CPR, you’re not just preparing to save a stranger—you’re preparing to protect the people closest to you.
