El Centro Hispano Opens a Raleigh Office

El Centro HispanoĀ is excited to announce the opening of itsĀ new offices in Raleigh North CarolinaĀ atĀ Villa Latina Plaza, in order to serve the Latino community in Wake County. The grand opening of the new office will beĀ February 22, 2020.Ā

ā€œWe are excited for this new chapter in of El Centro Hispano!Ā  This expansion to Wake County is a monumental move for us, but more importantly for the Latino community in Wake County!ā€ said Pilar Rocha-Goldberg, President and CEO of El Centro Hispano.Ā

In 1992, El Centro Hispano was created in order to respond to the needs of the Latino community in Durham.Ā  Since then, El Centro Hispano has been a beacon for the Latino community, providing services to thousands of Latino families across the Triangle and both Carolinas. Ā This expansion comes 10 years after the opening of the Carrboro/Chapel Hill office, and at a time where the Latino community is under constant attack by political leaders and anti immigrant policies at the federal and state levels and throughout municipal governments across North Carolina.Ā

El Centro Hispano currently has offices in Durham, Carrboro/Chapel Hill, the Mexican Consulate in Raleigh (the Ventanilla de Salud) and a Mobile Health Unite that operates in North and South Carolina.Ā  The new Raleigh office will seek to provide all the direct services and be the headquarters for the advocacy and community engagement efforts.

El Centro Hispano will host a press conference at the new office with many of our partners to discuses this change and give a tour of the new space on February 20, 2020, more information to come. For any questions please contact Eliazar Posada.

ā€œWe know there is a great need for services in the Latino community and look forward to serving them ā€ ā€“ Pilar Rocha Goldberg, President and CEO of El Centro Hispano.

Press ConferenceĀ will be on February 20th.Ā
