Electoral Forum with Orange County School Board Candidates
El Centro Hispano and Enlace Latino NC are proud to announce the fifth annual Bilingual Electoral Forum, providing an invaluable platform for the Latino community to engage with the Orange County School Board candidates. The event will take place on February 17 at 6:00 PM in Eno House, where attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the candidates and pose questions directly to them.
This year’s forum will feature candidates Jennifer D. Moore, Bonnie Hauser, Wendy Padilla, Carrie Doyle, Cindy Shriner, Kevin Alston Jr. and Michael Johson.
With simultaneous English interpretation provided, all attendees will have equal access to the discussions, ensuring inclusivity and participation from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
The event serves as a crucial opportunity for the Latino community to learn about the candidates’ proposals and visions for the Orange County School Board. By promoting dialogue and facilitating direct interaction, Enlace Latino NC and El Centro Hispano aim to empower voters and enhance civic engagement within the community.
“We are thrilled to once again partner with Enlace Latino NC for our fifth consecutive year. Through this collaboration, we aim to inform and engage members of the Latine community, ensuring they have the necessary information and resources to participate fully in the democratic process.” said Pilar Rocha-Goldberg, President and CEO El Centro Hispano.
“The Bilingual Electoral Forum plays a vital role in amplifying the voices of the Latino community and promoting informed decision-making in our local elections”, said Paola Jaramillo co-founder and executive director of Enlace Latino NC.
